The 19th edition of the Raiffeisen Bank Bucharest Marathon takes place on October 10-11, 2026. It transforms the historic heart of Bucharest, Romania, into a vibrant, high-energy arena for more than 12,500 runners from across the globe

The Event Weekend Schedule

The urban running festival divides its races across two dynamic days, starting and finishing right around the iconic Parliament Palace:

• Saturday, October 10, 2026: Focused on shorter distances, featuring the 10K Individual Race (starting at 09:00) and the non-timed 2.5K Fun Race (starting at 12:00).

• Sunday, October 11, 2026: The main competitive day, hosting the 42.195 km Full Marathon, the 4x Relay, and the 21 km Half Marathon, all kicking off at 09:00.

Fast, Scenic, and Certified Course

Recognized as a World Athletics Bronze Label event, the AIMS- and IAAF-certified course is highly favored by competitive athletes for being flat and remarkably fast. Runners pass along the wide, traffic-free boulevards of the capital, enjoying a unique tour of Bucharest’s historic core before crossing the finish line in Constitution Square (Piața Constituției).

Running for a Better Community

Beyond the athletic achievements, the Bucharest Marathon serves as Romania’s largest mass sports charity platform. The 2026 edition proudly supports 13 social causes, encouraging runners to fundraise for non-governmental organizations dedicated to health, education, and social inclusion.
