MEDIEVAL TRAIL RACE is a sports competition for both amateurs and professionals with the aim of promoting mountain running in Arad County, Romania, using tourist trails in the Zărand Mountains, the localities of Șoimoș and Șiria, Arad County, Romania, organized with the help of participation contributions/donations and with the support of sponsors and partners.

MEDIEVAL TRAIL RACE also promotes the natural and historical heritage of Arad County, combining local tourism with mountain running by covering mountain trails with the following objectives of interest: Șoimoș Fortress, Căsoaia, Șiriei Fortress, Feredeu Monastery and Feredeu Hermitage.
